Our Story
The Jammu Family
Over thirty years ago, Binda and Jamie Jammu arrived as immigrants in the United States with little more than determination and a dream. They settled in Valley Center, California, where they founded Amreen Home, a place of warmth and care for those in need. In the beginning, their commitment was all-encompassing—they lived inside the home alongside the residents, cooking meals, providing care, and ensuring that everyone felt like family. The same roof that sheltered those they cared for also became the childhood home of their daughters, Amreeta and Raveena, who grew up surrounded by the laughter, stories, and activities with the residents. The lines between family and community blurred, as the house was not just a care home but a true home for all who lived there.
Over the years, Amreen Home became more than just a place of support—it became a living testament to love, dedication, and the power of human connection. Many of the residents who arrived in those early days never left, forming bonds that deepened with time. They watched Amreeta and Raveena grow from wide-eyed children into determined young women, celebrating birthdays, graduations, and every milestone in between as if they were their own. Amreen Home was never just about providing care; it was about building a family—one that has stood the test of time and continues to grow with every passing year.
